We Clean Every Coop, Not Just Ours
Kit coop, DIY build, or another builder's work. If it houses a flock, we'll clean it. And if your coop turns out to be past its best, you'll get an honest assessment from the team that builds Colorado's toughest coops, never a sales pitch.
Curious what a LuckyBird coop looks like? Start here:
Deluxe Tier
LuckyBird BioSecure Cleaning Protocol
A more careful clean for the place your flock calls home.
Dedicated protection
Fresh, disposable protective clothing and footwear protection on every Deluxe visit, so nothing travels from another property to yours.
Clean equipment, every time
Our service equipment follows documented cleaning procedures between properties, so tools never carry one flock's mess to another.
Enhanced disinfection
High-contact surfaces get enhanced disinfection: an approach designed to reduce cross-property contamination risk.
The BioSecure protocol is designed to reduce the risk of cross-property contamination. It is not a guarantee against disease, and it doesn't replace veterinary care. If your flock shows signs of illness, please consult your veterinarian.
Included with Deluxe
What We Check While We're There
Nobody looks at a coop the way its builder would. Every Deluxe clean includes the LuckyBird Coop Condition Check, a walkthrough of the visible condition of:
- Latches & hardware
- Predator vulnerabilities
- Nesting boxes
- Automatic door operation, if present
- Obvious wood damage
- Run & hardware-cloth condition
Findings are shared as practical maintenance observations from the team that builds coops. They are not an engineering assessment, a structural certification, or veterinary advice.

Questions
Chicken Coop Cleaning FAQs
Do you clean coops you didn't build?
Yes. We clean every coop, not just ours. Kit coops, DIY builds, and other builders' work are all welcome, as long as we can access the coop safely.
What does coop cleaning cost?
Packages start at $99 for a Coop Refresh, $179 for a Complete Cleanout, and $299 for the BioSecure Deep Clean. Pricing assumes a standard residential coop with reasonable access. Oversized or heavily soiled coops, difficult access, and travel outside our core routes get a confirmed quote before work begins.
What's included in a cleaning?
Every visit covers the essentials: soiled bedding removed, droppings boards and roosts scraped, nesting boxes cleaned, feeders and waterers wiped. Standard adds full sanitizing, fresh kiln-dried pine bedding, odor and moisture treatment, and a coop inspection. Deluxe adds our BioSecure protocol and the comprehensive Coop Condition Check.
Do I need to move my chickens?
No. Your flock can stay in the run while we work. We just ask that the birds are out of the coop itself during the clean.
Do you haul away the waste?
By default, waste is placed in your designated compost or manure area, or your trash bin, as part of every visit. If you'd like it taken off your property entirely, full Waste Removal is available as a $25 add-on with any package.
Do you provide bedding?
Yes. Fresh standard bedding is included, and our standard bedding is kiln-dried pine shavings. Specialty bedding, deep-litter systems, sand, or quantities required for oversized coops may incur an additional charge.
How often should I schedule service?
Most flocks do well on a monthly rhythm, with a deeper seasonal reset. Our monthly plans and the four-visit Seasonal Care Plan keep it handled year-round, and keep us familiar with the condition of your coop.
What makes the Deluxe different?
Deluxe follows our BioSecure Cleaning Protocol: dedicated, disposable protective clothing and footwear protection, cleaned service equipment, and enhanced disinfection of high-contact surfaces, plus before/after documentation and the Coop Condition Check.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Franktown and run regular routes through Parker, Castle Rock, Elizabeth, Kiowa, Conifer, and across Douglas County and the Denver metro. Outside those areas? Ask, and we're happy to quote travel.
Can you clean the run too?
Yes. Run cleaning is available as an add-on starting at $35, depending on size, with any package.
If you find a problem, can you fix it?
The Condition Check surfaces practical maintenance observations. Minor fixes can often be handled on the spot through our Repair & Upgrade Services, priced from a quick on-site assessment. For anything larger, we're the builders: we'll document it and quote it properly.
Better Coops. Brighter Backyards.
